How to attract mindful drinkers during a quiet month

We have launched our first ever pub guide for mindful drinkers in January: the Club Soda Guide (

To accompany the launch, we are challenging customers to ditch staying at home and do a ‘Mindful Pub Crawl’ in January instead.

To support pubs and bars in their quest, we have pulled together a free Pub Resources Pack, containing ideas to attract dry January fundraisers, improve your no and low alcohol offering, and create promotions to bring in new customers. It includes free-to-use social media content.

mindful drinkersThe Club Soda Guide is a pub guide listing Good places for Mindful Drinkers and is being launched with the help of 200 of the best pubs and bars in Hackney and the City of London. Each venue has inputted what they stock and got a score out of 5, based on their range of low and no alcohol drinks. For venues with a low score, tips are provided on how to improve their selection of drinks, with case studies from great venues.

A Mindful Pub Crawl is a pub crawl with a difference. Instead of ignoring the pub in January, customers will be encouraged to visit their local and try out the low and no alcohol options, sample drinks that support their health goals , and discover the pub is a great place to be, sober or not.

The mindful pub crawls are part of the public facing campaign, encouraging customers to review the visibility and range of the drinks venues stock. In February Club Soda will announce the winning venues that are deemed to be the best for mindful drinkers in the City and Hackney. They plan to go nationwide with the Guide later in 2017.
